ADELAIDE-based hip hop outfit HILLTOP HOODS will brings their live show to Newcastle this month following the success of their latest album The Calling. Hilltop Hoods will headline the event at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on April 23 alongside BLADES OF HADES, HERMITUDE, RAPH.A.L and DJs SKOOB, MATHMATICS and MARK N .
Since Hilltop Hoods formed in the early 90s by MCs SUFFA and PRESSURE , who later hooked up with DJ DEBRIS , the band has become a fundamental part of Australia's growing hip hop scene.
Support slots have placed the band alongside acts like DJ CASH MONEY and RODNEY P. The Calling was released in 2003 and got a huge response after its single The Nosebleed Section came in at number nine on the TRIPLE J HOTTEST 100 poll.
Tickets are $15 from PDMS, RAMJET and the Cambridge or $20 on the door.
