When: Saturday April 17, 2004

PROLIFIC party planners MOUSEMOON are at it again.

After hosting two big events last year THE EGG at HONEYSUCKLE BOILER SHOP and THIS IS NOT ERLING at the old NEWCASTLE POST OFFICE, mousemoon have helped to organise another spectacular set to take place this weekend.

THE GOOGY EGG , a scaled own version of The Egg, will be held at the PALAIS ROYALE YOUTH VENUE on Saturday night.

Merewether High School students, CLAIRE and NEDA, approached mousemoon with a plan to make The Egg as an all-ages show.

With the help of mousemoon and the Palais Royale's DALE GARBETT, everyone will have the chance to experience The Egg this weekend.

Organisers said it will be another grand affair which should not be missed.

``In the spirit of performance and extravagance, come in character,'' organisers said.

``It's a masquerade, a carnival aac spectacular, a bohemian ball of bizarre styling, an explosion of colour, fruits and atypical behaviour.'' The Googy Egg will feature performances from mousemoon, THE SAXBY'S, IONIC, THOSE GUYS WITH JUNK, along with body painters, stilt walkers, circus freaks, shadow puppetry, and other interactive entertainment.

``It's expected it will be a mixed crowd of all ages from little ones right up to grand parents, all enjoying the wonderful creative atmosphere,'' organisers said.

The Googy Egg will be fully supervised with security and is a smoke, drug and alcohol-free event.

Doors open at 6pm and the event will continue until 11pm.

Tickets are $8 on the door.
