Noll Now The Real Thing

Who: Shannon Noll
Where: Newcastle Panthers
When: Friday June 11, 2004

AFTER a sell-out 15-date tour of North Queensland, Australian Idol runner-up SHANNON NOLL has announced his first solo national tour.

Noll has won the hearts of the nation with his powerful voice, down-to-earth demeanour and Aussie attitude.

His debut single What About Me and album That's What I'm Talking About have each sold four times platinum, or over 280,000 copies.

The album alone reached these sales figures in just one month.

Noll is enjoying some well-deserved time off after performing 15 shows in 11 days through regional Queensland before embarking on the tour.

``The audience response was amazing,'' Noll's manager DAVID CAPLICE said of the last tour.

``What we have now is a well-oiled show that really demonstrates Shannon's progression from a television Idol to a genuine Australian artist.'' THE OVERDRIVE TOUR will commence on April 30 at Port Macquarie before arriving at NEWCASTLE PANTHERS on June 11.

Fans can look out for the release of Noll's second single Drive , which was penned by Canadian rocker BRYAN ADAMS, on April 19.

Tickets are on sale now from the club on 4926 th2700.
