All Hart in New Songs

Who: Mick Hart
Where: Northern Star Hotel
When: Saturday October 4, 2003

A FEW things have changed for Sydney singer-songwriter MICK HART .

His hair has grown, he has written a bunch of new songs and he has returned to Australia after a 10-month stint in Europe.

He has performed throughout France, Belgium, Holland, England, Scotland and Ireland, picking up a number of big shows along the way, including a support slot alongside ZWAN.

``I have played four festivals this year and I played a sold-out show in Amsterdam as the support for BILLY CORGAN 's new band Zwan,'' Hart said.

``That was the real stand out for me.

'' Hart packed up his guitar late last year, leaving his three-piece band behind with the aim of establishing a fan base in Europe.

It wasn't Hart's first overseas tour, but it was undoubtedly his most successful.

As well as the Zwan support, Hart had airplay in France and Holland and was named in the top five performers at Holland's three- day EUROSONIC festival, which featured more than 150 acts.

With a batch of new songs under his belt, which he describes as ``rootsier'', Hart is back for an Australian tour to co-incide with the release of his new EP If You Could .

He will return to the NORTHERN STAR HOTEL on Saturday and October 4.
