IF you already have your hands on a ticket to POWDERFINGER 's upcoming tour, then you have your hands on one of the hottest tickets in town.
Tickets to the band's national 12-date LIVE ON VULTURE STREET TOUR went on sale last Monday and were snapped up by fans at a phenomenal rate.
More than half the tickets to the NEWCASTLE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE concert on December 10 were allocated by the end of the day.
A similar response was seen in Sydney, where all tickets to the band's performance at SYDNEY ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE on December 12 were sold out by the end of the day.
Powderfinger has added a second Sydney show to the tour which will take place on December 13.
It is the band's first national tour in over two years and follows its performance before a 13,500-strong crowd at Singleton in July during lw-1 TRIPLE J 's SPLENDOUR COMES TO YOU concert.
The tour will feature state-of-the- art audio and visual production and it will be the only chance that fans have to see the band live until mid- 2004.
Powderfinger released its fifth studio album, Vulture Street , in August and it has already gone double platinum in Australia.
Tickets are still available to Powderfinger's show at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on December 10 from TICKETEK on 4921 th2121.
Powderfinger will be supported by the JOHN BUTLER TRIO and THE TREMORS .
