MOST people would know SLEEK THE ELITE as the rapping pizza delivery boy from the hit comedy Pizza .
But with his Pizza days behind him, Sleek is concentrating on the career that launched his move to the stage and screen - hip hop.
For almost 15 years, Sleek has been honing his skills as an MC under the name Sleek the Elite.
``I used to jump out of my window and head into Sydney to see DJs and MCs battle,'' Sleek said.
``That's when I really fell in love with it in the sense that it wasn't just something that I was listening to on my radio or cassettes.
I was actually living and breathing it in Sydney.
'' He released the debut album Sleekism in 1997 which he will follow with the album titled Oh Yeah! later this year.
His move into television came when he met Pizza creator PAUL FENECH who was shooting a documentary on Australian hip hop.
Fenech cast Sleek in the first episode of Pizza and went on to become one of the show's most popular characters, also appearing in the Pizza stage show and movie.
Although he no longer stars in Pizza , he said fans hadn't seen the last of Sleek the Elite.
``As well as touring with my music, I'll be doing my own stage show early next year and I also have some things in the pipeline for TV.
'' Sleek the Elite will perform at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on Saturday in a show featuring DJs, MCs and his own female dance troupe, THE SLEEKETTES .
``Its a very, very entertaining show.
People always walk away happy.
``My DJ does a mix set, there is freestyling, acapella raps, crowd participation, giveaways and most of all its just a lot of good rhyming.
