ONE of NUSTHELL BREAKS ' most popular guests will return to the decks at KING STREET HOTEL this weekend.
Sydney's award winning DJ KID KENOBI , who has been voted as Australia's number one DJ on numerous occasions, will present a bumping night of breakbeats on Saturday night.
Kid Kenobi is in town for the MINISTRY OF SOUND BREAKS TOUR 2003 , the label through which he released two Clubbers Guide To Breaks albums last year.
After the release of the albums, Kenobi spent the early stages of 2003 on the road and returned from a European tour in May.
``I toured a bit around the country when I got back (from Europe) and then told my manager that I thought it might be good idea to try and find some more time to write music,'' Kenobi said.
``I was going to be in the US come July but with the situation in the States the way it was post-Iraq we decided that it was perhaps not the best time to be touring.
'' After a well-earned break, Kenobi has found time to get back to the studio to work on some new tracks and plan the next instalment for MINISTRY OF SOUND .
``I've had time to set my computer up properly now and have started a few tunes.
``Another Ministry of Sound disc is the next major project in the works however.
'' When Kenobi returns to Nutshell Breaks on Saturday night, he will share the decks with local DJs AUXILARY, KATO, FALLON and JAY*J .
Nutshell will now be extended across two rooms and the downstairs area of the hotel will offer hip hop and drum'n'bass with DJs KEMURI, SKOOBY, MATHMATICS and BOOGIE from 9pm.
Pre-sale tickets are $15 from THREESIXTYSOUNDS, PDMS, ABICUS and RAMJET or $20 on the door.
