SOMETHING FOR KATE has earned itself a reputation as one of the hardest working bands in Australia.
The trio released its f th album The Official Fiction on August 18 and made no hesitation to hit the road and support the release with an extensive tour.
Frontman and songwriter PAUL DEMPSEY said the band has been itching to return to the live scene.
``We can't wait to get out on the road,'' Dempsey said.
``It has been a long time since we have done a proper tour in Australia.
'' Something For Kate completed a brief tour before the album's release in July, including a show in Newcastle, but the current tour will keep the band on the road for more than two months.
Dempsey said it will be a chance for fans to hear much of the new album including the first single Deja Vu and the latest release Song For a Sleepwalker .
The Official Fiction has seen Something For Kate re-team with US producer TRINA SHOEMARK , following her work with the band on the previous release Echolalia .
``We just had such a great time making the last record that we thought `Why mess with the formula?' ``After making the last record we remained good friends so there wasn't really any question about working with her again because she is the best engineer that we have ever worked with.
