THE TREMORS have warned audiences to expect the sexiest show of the year when the band supports POWDERFINGER on its national tour.
``Our show is so sexy that I recommend you bring a bucket to stand in at the show,'' frontman GEOFF CORBETT said.
``I'd like to see that actually all of Newcastle standing in a bucket drinking beer.
'' Formed just under a year ago, The Tremors started out as a replacement band when Corbett's band SIXFTTHICK cancelled a gig in Melbourne on New Year's Eve.
Still eager to complete the show, Corbett called up three of his muso friends and asked they would like to join his new band The Tremors.
``I didn't want to be stuck in Brisbane so I called a friend in Melbourne and told her I had this great new band and that we wanted a gig.
``She agreed and so I got off the phone and rang around and got a band together.
'' Corbett was joined by DAN BAEBLER, CEC CONDON and GAZOONGA ATTACK 's ELANOR LOGAN , and decided to record an EP in July after a successful run of live shows.
Tilted Can I Get a Whisky , the EP is a prime example of the band's sound which Corbett describes as ``sleazy, garage soul.
'' The Tremors have also supported ROCKET SCIENCE, THE MESS HALL and DAVE MCCORMACK & THE POLAROIDS.
``We've still got our side projects but this has become our main concern.
Early next year we're hoping to record an album, we survive this tour.
'' The Tremors will support Powderfinger at NEWCASTLE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE on December 10.
