CANADIAN rockers NICKELBACK will return to Australia for a national tour in May.
It will be the band's first Australian tour in two years and brings it to Newcastle for the first time.
THE LONG ROAD TOUR will see the band perform in Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney with special guest, another Canadian band THREE DAYS GRACE. Nickelback exploded across the globe with the sophomore album Silver Side Up in 2001 which went on to sell over 9 thmillion copies worldwide.
The band's rise to success was catapulted by Silver Side Up's unstoppable radio anthem How You Remind Me which went on to collect four GRAMMY AWARD nominations.
In the US, How You Remind Me was the number-one most played song of 2002.
The Vancouver-based ensemble comprising CHAD KROEGER, RYAN PEAKE, MIKE KROEGER and RYAN VIKEDAL is back with a new album The Long Road. The album is already certified double platinum in Australia.
`We've pushed things further in every way possible,'' Chad Kroeger said.
Nickelback will perform at NEWCASTLE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE on May 7.
