CAN'T wait for Surfest?ClubNova Panthers Newcastle should be able to contain your excitement when it hosts the 2003 Quiksilver Australian Surf Movie Festival.Presented by legendary Australian surf film director Tim Bonython, the festival has been working its way around the country and will appear in Newcastle tonight.The screening will
incorporate two hours of surfing action including the main feature film Strapped.The award winning film is a 25 minute documentary which looks at surfers who ride high mountains of water.The festival kicks off with the legendary Mad Wax, one of Quiksilver's first surf films which features surfers such as Tom Carroll and Gary Elkerton.Other films include THE
QUIKSILVER CROSSING, highlights from last year's QUIKSILVER PRO and the 2002/2003 QUIK AIRSHOWS as well as footage from the HAWAIIAN NORTH SHORE SEASON 2002/2003.Big name surfers featured in the films include Kelly Slater, Craig Warton, Troy Brooks and Danny Wills.Two independent
