ONLY the biggest of BEATLES fans would know where DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE derived its name from.

``There is a band in the film called The Bonza Dog Band and it sings a song called Death Cab For Cutie.
'' Death Cab For Cutie formed in Seattle six years ago and has become one of the US's most popular Indie bands with 10 national tours of the US under its belt.

Incidentally, Death Cab For Cutie was u amiliar with the top selling Aussie trio.
``We hadn't heard of Something For Kate before this tour but we got a call saying that we should do the tour and we said ``Sure!'' ``It's only since then that we had heard of the band and I actually heard their record for the first time last week and I think it's great.
'' As well as touring Australia and the US, the group had also performed throughout the UK, appearing at the LEEDS and READING festivals in 2002.
The band has released four albums and will release its fifth album ifTransatlanticism in October.
``The album has just been finished and I think we'll play a couple of the new tracks on this tour.
