HE'S big, he's cheesy and he's coming to Newcastle.
Aussie rapper and television star BFSLEEK THE ELITE NFwill perform at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on Friday.
Sleek, whose real name is PAUL NAKAD, was spreading ``Sleekism'' long before be joined the hit SBS program PIZZA and has been a part of the Australian hip hop scene for more than a decade.
Sleek started out rapping on Sydney's 2SER RADIO and 2RDJ RADIO and performed as a street busker before landing his big break in television.
``I think people are unaware I've been rapping for about 15 years and have been Sleek the Elite for 10 years and I released an album in 1997,'' Sleek said.
``But the beauty is there are now so many more people who know who I am.
'' His break came after meeting Pizza star and creator PAUL FENECH.
Fenech was directing a documentary on Australian hip hop culture titled BASIC EQUIPMENT and featured an MC performance from Sleek the Elite.
Fenech invited Sleek to join the cast of Pizza and he has since become Australia's most popular rapping pizza delivery boy.
As well as starring in Pizza's big screen debut FAT PIZZA, Sleek has appeared on stage in THE WOG STORY and the Pizza stage show.
Sleek released his debut album ifSleeksim in 1997 and released the new single ifSleek the Elite in May.
His second album is currently in production and looks set for release in 2003.
Sleek the Elite will perform at the Cambridge Hotel on Friday night.
