The Whitlams will return to their roots when the band performs at SOLDIERS POINT BOWLING CLUB on August 3.
It will mark a return to the pub and club atmosphere that inspired frontman TIM FREEDMAN to pen songs such as ifGod Drinks at The Sando and ifBlow Up the Pokies .
The show will be part of an extensive 41-date national tour that will travel from Port Hedland to Darwin and Cairns to Port Stephens.
The tour co- incides with the release of The Whitlams' brand new single ifDon't Believe Anymore and the re-release of the latest album ifTorch The Moon .
ifDon't Believe Anymore is a cover of the classic ICEHOUSE tune by IVA DAVIES and is featured on the re-packaged album.
The tour will be the last chance fans have to see the band until 2005.
``This is the last Whitlams' tour until 2005 and after this we can really say we've been everywhere - Torch the Moon is being put to bed very comprehen sively,'' Freedman said.
``After this tour I'm going on a writing holiday to New York, then we'll all regroup next year to record a new album for Black Yak and Warners.

The Whitlams will also perform at CIVIC THEATRE NEWCASTLE on August 2.
