AFTER a four-month slog across the US, New Zealand rockers PACIFIER are set to do it all again after the band kicked off its brief Australian tour last week.
The band last performed in Australia during its run with the BIG DAY OUT .
The remainder of the year was filled with a gruelling tour of the US in which the band supported US acts TRUST COMPANY and THE CHEVELLES .
``It was pretty full on in terms of touring because we were doing five to six gigs a week but we're ready to get back into playing live again,'' guitarist KARL KIPPENBERGER said.
``We ended up playing at a lot of the same places because we did two separate tours with different bands which was good because we had people coming back to see us specifically.
'' Kippenberger said one of the more memorable gigs took place at a hall in Oklahoma, which has become an historical rock landmark.
``We played at a place in Oklahoma which was where the SEX PISTOLS kicked off their first tour of America, so it was pretty historic.
``There was also a hole in the bathroom where Cliff from Metallica had stuck his bass through the wall.
``It was just funny because it's this old country and western hall with all these old photos of country music stars.
'' It was Pacifier's first trip back to the US following its 2001 visit when the band recorded its self-titled album that featured the latest single Everything .
Kippenberger said the band has begun jamming new tracks and hopes to release a new single by the end of 2003.
Pacifier will perform at the BAR ON THE HILL tomorrow.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
