THERE is an age-old saying that if you're on to a good thing, you should stick to it.
And that's exactly what ABBA tribute act BABBA have decided to do.
BABBA are returning for a series of shows around Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and The Hunter after performing two sellout shows in the region earlier this year.
BABBA sold out shows at both Belmont 16ft Sailing Club and Wests Leagues Club. in March.
This time they will return for a run of seven dates covering everywhere from Cessnock to Toronto.
The group are scheduled after they make their return to the Hunter to tour throughout New Zealand and South East Asia to perform for the many fans they have made in their eight-year history.
Their good track record in Newcastle is not unusual, and of the 214 shows BABBA performed last year they managed to sell out 170 of those dates.
Their spectacular stage show is something that has been acknowledged by some of the world's biggest stars.
Support slots in the past have placed the band alongside huge names like Ray Charles, Kylie Minogue, John Farnham, John Paul Young and The Deltones. BABBA have proved that ABBA mania is still well and truly alive and well.
They feature Melbourne performers Michael Ingvarson, James McDonald, Susan Woodcock and Olivia Rezzara. Catch BABBA in town again when they perform at Hexham Bowling Club tonight and Maitland City Bowling Club on Saturday night.
Next week BABBA will perform at Toronto Workers Club on Wednesday, ClubNova Cardiff on Thursday, Doyalson-Wyee RSL Club on Friday, ClubNova Newcastle on Saturday and Cessnock Rugby Leagues Supporters Club on Sunday.
Tickets are available from the venues.
TE has two double passes to give away to the Cardiff show.
