AFTER being named Toronto's Top Vocalist of The Year in 2001, Canadian musician Ember Swift has decided to pack her bags and embark on a tour of Australia.
The tour will include two free shows in Newcastle on April 4, the first at Newcastle University's Tanner Bar at 12.30pm and the second at the Northern Star Hotel at 9.30pm.
Since she first began performing at age 10, Swift has released six albums through her independent label Few'll Ignite Sound. Describing her music as 'a combination of many styles from jazz to funk to folk to punk', Swift's trio kicked off its Australian tour in Victoria last week.
Swift is joined on stage by Lyndell Montgomery and Michelle Josef.
