ONE thing you wouldn't expect to see during a high-energy punk show is a nerdy-looking guy as the headline act performing solo.
That is unless his name is Atom.
Obscure and downright quirky punk musician Atom and His Package will headline a punk bonanza during a gig at the Cambridge Hotel next week.
The American artist shares the stage with only 'his package' which consists of his trusty sequencer.
Before deciding to go solo, Atom was a member of underground punk band Fracture and released a number of singles and one album.
His unusual style of music is produced in the comfort of his home where he writes and programs tracks on his package and plays guitar.
He has released a number of albums including Redefining Music, released last April.
Atom and His Package toured New Zealand before arriving in Australia for an east coast tour.
He will perform with his package at The Cambridge Hotel on February 7.
The solo punk star will be supported by local acts Creeping Jesus and Draw The Line. Entry costs $5.
