AFTER months of competition, Newcastle has finally discovered its most eligible bachelor.
FANNY'S hosted the 2002 MOST ELIGIBLE BACHELOR competition and last month, the winner was decided.
Student and personal trainer TIM ROBARDS walked away with the grand prize and a new female fan club.
The competition judged contestants on their personality, intelligence and wit and saw a variety of bachelors on stage from a US Marine to a wannabe singer.
But 19-year-old Robards took out the competition, walking away with $2000 cash and prizes.
'I was stoked and I couldn't believe it,' Robards said.
'I thought how am I going to live up to this?"'
Robards, who recently had a stint as Keanu Reeves' body double in THE MATRIX 2, said he plans to take a 'sunloving' holiday with his winnings.
This month, Fanny's has begun the search for MISS INDY 2002, with a competition held every Thursday night at the venue.
Doors open at 9pm and entry is $5.
