THE return of Australia's No.1 piano man was a big event for many at the BAR ON THE HILL last Thursday.
Fans new and old turned out to see The Whitlams perform their first gig at the BAR ON THE HILL since 2000.
And TIM FREEDMAN was glad to be back.
The evening began with several new tracks from the latest album TORCH THE MOON, including a performance of the title track.
But older fans weren't disappointed because the band also made sure that their back catalogue was covered.
Freedman performed a gorgeous rendition of NO APHRODISIAC, sounding better than ever with his sharp and precise vocals.
Freedman did what he does best on the keys, belting out the chunky fun of tracks such as THANK YOU and the unmistakable melody of BLOW UP THE POKIES. It was a truly fine performance appreciated by a mellow crowd.
