AFTER warming to the Newcastle crowd during a set at Rype last month, DJ Frenzie is returning to headline Nutshell Breaks at the Cambridge Hotel on Saturday.

Frenzie first appeared on the music scene 11 years ago and has lifted his profile by working at some of the country's biggest nightclubs.

Frenzie currently holds three residencies at the Chinese Laundry, Frequency and the massive Globe nightclub.

Playing anything from acid jazz to hip hop, Frenzie has now established himself as a master of breakbeats.

His brand of dancefloor funk, breaks, new school beats and amazing turntable abilities makes his style perfect for Nutshell.

His skills have placed him alongside International acts including Moby, Jose Padilla, Bently Rhythm Ace, Naughty By Nature, Andy Smith and Crystal Method. Also at Nutshell is Auxilary, Kato and Sydney-based DJ Jimmy Savage .

The show runs from 10.30pm to 5am. Tickets are $10 advance or $15 at the door.
