ANOTHER band from Brisbane is making its way down across the Queensland border to perform in Newcastle this week.
Speedstar will perform at SJ's Hotel on Sunday night to support fellow Brisbane musicians George (see preview, TE Page 22).
The group has just released its second EP Wishing Your Life Away which is a follow up to their debut Fallen Star. The EP mixes a variety of sounds and although guitarist Ben Smith describes the title track as a 'big dumb 70s rock song', the song is obviously the EP's stand out track.
Speedstar will wrap up its tour on Sunday after performing a series of shows with Kasey Chambers, Alex Lloyd and Greg Atkinson from Big Heavy Stuff. The group may have only just released its second EP but it is already planning the future together.
