CARL Barron has been forced to postpone a run of performances throughout the Hunter Region due to ill health.
Reportedly, doctors have ordered the unassuming Sydneysider to rest after he came down with a serious eye infection.
Novocastrians have embraced Barron's brand of observational humour.
Many would have seen him one of 30 times he has performed on Channel Nine's The Footy Show. After a recent sellout performance at Club Nova Newcastle, Barron has regretably pushed back the Hunter dates of his Just Muckin' Around" tour to July and August.
The revised dates are Kurri Kurri Bowling Club on Tuesday, July 31, Singleton RSL on Wednesday, August 1, Western Suburbs Leagues Club on Thursday, August 2, Belmont 16 Footers Sailing Club on Friday, August 3, Hexham Bowling Club on Saturday, August 4 and Muswellbrook Workers Club on Sunday, August 5.
One of Australia's most laconic and popular comedians, Barron recently returned from extensive international touring.
During his career he has performed on stages in London, New York, Edinburgh, Montreal and Auckland.
