IT has been one year since the first Vitalbeats.
To celebrate this milestone for Newcastle's dance music scene, another Vitalbeats party will take place on Friday at the Cambridge Hotel. This time it will stay open until 7am and Jamie Shoemark aka Electrofunk assures TE there will be a big sound and a great visual laser show all night.
Woolongong three piece dance act Infusion and one of Newcastle's best Electrofunk will headline the night.
Infusion is made up of Jarnie Stevens, Manuel Sharrad and Frank Xavier. Their talents are honoured further by the OVER 521 PTs
equipment they use which is basically made up of cheap synthesisers which have been bought in second hand stores.
Their first single Smoke Screen was nominated for an ARIA dance award.
Building on these successes and high rotation Triple J play of tracks such as My Name is Radar they continue to evolve in the live arena.
Supercharged performances have seen them perform alongside some of the world top acts such as Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Hybrid, Fluke and Dave Clarke. The Sydney Morning Herald has gone so far to say they are Australia's best electronic live act.
Also playing will be seven of Newcastle's finest DJs and three imports, across two rooms.
DJs will include DJ Patsan, Chris Calm, Richtekien, Richy Valenz, Rhino, DJ Skin, DJ Mathematics, Auxiliary, DJ Kato and Tone. The last Vitalbeats sold out and this time there will only be 200 presale tickets available.
