Starpark Land on XTC Album

Melodic rockers Starpark are celebrating their inclusion on the American compilation King For a Day XTC tribute album.

The boys were given the honour after sending out a six-track demo of their work to a number of Australian record industry personnel.

The demo was handed over to an American publisher, who quickly nabbed the band to appear on the album.

Starpark is the only unsigned band to be included on the album, which features artists such as the The Foo Fighters and Phish. The group will compete in the Bundaberg Rum band competition semi-final at The Castle tonight and alongside Sneeze at the Cambridge Hotel on Saturday.
