What: Rhythm of the Dance
Where: Civic Theatre
Author: Jade Lazerevic
When: Thursday August 30, 2001

TRADITIONAL Irish dance and music will fuse for three special performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Civic Theatre. Rhythm of the Dance is a two-hour dance and music spectacular featuring some of Ireland's best traditional instrumentalists and singers.

The show has played to more than 2million people around the world.

Unlike other Irish dance shows, Rhythm of the Dance uses the spirit of its national dances, songs and storytelling and includes modern influences like beat, jazz and Latin.

Stealing the show with an impressive 30 steps a second is Aisling Holly. As Rhythm of the Dance's leading female performer, Aisling delivers Irish step-dancing with extraordinary precision and intensity.

TE has two double passes to give away to the show. Enter online at www.nnp.com.au or send an envelope with your name, address and phone number on the back to Rhythm of the Dance Giveaway, PO Box 615, Newcastle, 2300.
