NO matter who you are, George Kapiniaris guarantees that everyone will love the new comedy Who Let the Wogs Out. Kapiniaris and his life-long friend, Simon Palomares, are responsible for the popular new comedy which will play twice at Civic Theatre on September 8.
'The show is very mainstream,' Kapiniaris said.
'It's a mixture of woginess and nothing like (anyone) would have seen before.'
The group first performed together when they attended Rusden State College.
Since graduating they have gone on to create and star in some of Australia's best-loved television programs and stage productions like Wogs Out Of Work and Acropolis Now. Who Let the Wogs Out features a blend of sketches and song, showcasing wog culture and poking fun at the rich fabric of multicultural society.
'We do a Spanish flamenco version of Khe-San and a Ricky Martin sketch,' Kapiniaris said.
'I guess we're like the wog Blues Brothers. '
The show also gives the audience some insights on picking up, as well as some special songs.
But be warned, Kapiniaris says the show can get a little bit rude sometimes.
Tickets are available from Ticketek and the Civic Theatre Box Office.
