ORCHESTRA Nova will team up with Latin group Pablo Diablo for a special afternoon performance at Newcastle City Hall on Sunday.
Conducted by John Halloway, the show will feature a flamboyant mixture of latino rhythms and tangos.
Pablo Diablo is one of Australia's premier Latin bands and will play a number of songs from the film Buena Vista Social Club. The group will also spice up songs from Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
The 50-piece Orchestra Nova will perform old favourites Begin the Beguine, Granada and La Bamba and Espanol.
Latin dancers Peter Gordon, Sue Connors, Bobby Paquet and Miriam Castrikum will burn the floor with exciting salsa and tango dance routines.
As well as plenty of seating for those who wish to sit back and watch the show, there will be room on the floor for those who want to dance.
The orchestra and Pablo Diablo will perform together and separately in the lead up to a spectacular grand finale.
Tickets are $15 adults, $10 concession, $5 children and $25 family are available at the door.
