Duo Back in the Acoustic Groove

TOMORROW will see the return of the funky acoustic groove of Method to the Northern Star Hotel. The duo combines only a drum kit and an acoustic guitar for a powerful, swampy sound.

Guitarist and former Novocastrian Bill Jacobi, who is more often seen as bassist with Floyd Vincent and the Childbrides, shares the songwriting and vocals with drummer Frank Corby. While the material often takes a cynical look at life, it is also a humble reflection on subjects as diverse as long-distance road travel, the nature of longing and the dangers of demolition work.

Method have just finished work on their second album.

Tomorrow night's show will get under way at 9pm and admission is free.

Floyd Vincent and the Childbrides will play at the Northern Star Hotel on Friday night.
