Dorothy is Back

What: The Wizard of OZ Show
Where: Newcastle Panthers
When: Thursday July 6, 2000

THE story of DOROTHY'S and TOTO'S journey along the yellow brick road to the Land of Oz remains the same.

But the YOUNG STARS PRODUCTION of THE WIZARD OF OZ coming to the Newcastle Workers Club on Thursday, July 6, takes a slightly different musical tack.

This production features a 'country' Scarecrow, a rapping Tinman, a Cowardly Lion who 'wails out the blues' and a wicked witch who 'rocks'.

Director BRIAN LAUL said the moral of the story still rings true today, 100 years after it was written by FRANK BAUM. 'Besides having all the ideal elements of fascinating entertainment, it also carries a powerful message of hope so necessary for young people today,' he said.

There will one show at 11am and 2pm. Proceeds from the show go towards the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION which benefits terminally ill children.

TE has three double passes to THE WIZARD OF OZ SHOW to give away.

To go in the draw mail an envelope, with your name, address and telephone number on the back, to WIZARD OF OZ GIVEAWAY, PO Box 615, Newcastle, 2300.
