CANADIAN singer/songwriter BRYAN ADAMS is a phenomenon in modern music. His career has spanned 20 years and was stronger than ever in the 1990s.
He has sold a staggering 55million albums to date, and his concerts remains sell-outs around the world.
On Thursday, March 9, at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Adams will perform the 'good old rock'n'roll', from his astounding back catalogue to promote his 12th album, a greatest hits package.
In 1992 Adams penned EVERYTHING I DO (I DO IT FOR YOU) for the ROBIN HOOD PRINCE OF THIEVES soundtrack, which earned him nominations for both an Academy Award and a Grammy Award.
The song, which he wrote in an hour, put Adams in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS for the longest stay at the number one position on the UK charts - 16 weeks.
He soared to number one again in 1993, this time with STING and ROD STEWART, with ALL FOR LOVE for the soundtrack to THE THREE MUSKETEERS. HAVE YOU EVER REALLY LOVED A WOMAN, from the soundtrack to DON JUAN DE MARCO, earned him another Academy Award nomination and a stint at number one on the charts.
Last year his duet WHEN YOU'RE GONE, with 'Sporty Spice' MEL C, stayed in the Australian Top 5 for three weeks.
