Beach Ball Gets Rolling

What: Pheonix Summer Ball
Where: Club Phoenix
When: Saturday October 2, 1999

THE days are getting longer, the mornings warmer, the clothes are getting shorter and the waves more crowded.

That's right, pack up ya skivvies, summer is on the way.

And although the season of the sun doesn't officially start for another two months CLUB PHOENIX is getting the beach ball rolling this weekend.

The PHOENIX SUMMER BALL this Saturday promises buckets of fun with stacks of hot music and giveaways.

One lucky person will win a trip for themselves and three friends to escape to SEA WORLD NARA RESORT on the Gold Coast.

The night is fancy dress and the theme is underwater.

The ball will be hosted by NXFM's mermen of mirth, GARTH AND STEVE. Setting the vibes for the night will be one of Sydney's hardest working party bands Jellybean Jam. They're bright, colourful, and have a sweet collection of tasty musical favourites to share.

The Jellybeans perform non-stop medleys and tongue-in-cheek rip-offs of party faves like ABBA, NEIL DIAMOND and VILLAGE PEOPLE. The band has an extensive repertoire ranging from the fifties to the nineties.

Chuck in some outrageous costumes and stage props and you'll be playing in the sun having fun fun fun.

So get that fake tan thing happening and get down to Club Phoenix this Saturday.

Tickets are $18 for non-members, $20 for members and can be booked by calling 4967-4044.
