Come Out for a Mardi Gras time

Come Out for a Mardi Gras time

Who: Fabba
Where: The Cambridge Hotel
When: Friday September 17, 1999

IF you can spot a sequin at 100 paces then FABBA wants to hear from you.

Playing on Friday night at the Cambridge Hotel, the Fabba-ulous Abba tribute band is looking to enlist participants for a Newcastle float at next year's GAY & LESBIAN MARDI GRAS. So if you love the music of ABBA and you can move like a DANCING QUEEN, chances are you should get yourself along for an informal tryout.

Fabba also has a gig confirmed for the official reopening and renaming of The Islington Barracks, now under new management, but Friday night's show also happens to be Fabba's 10th anniversary.

Fabba lays claim to being the first ABBA Showband, beginning in 1989. The group plays two, dazzling one-hour sets.

On Mardi Gras matters, the February 26, 2000, celebration on Oxford St will take some planning, time, skills, contacts and money.
