NEWCASTLE groove-metal band SERRATED will make its debut at the Hunter on Hunter on Friday night.
The three-piece band has been together since September, writing and rehearsing an all-original repertoire.
Lead vocalist and guitarist KIM ABBOTT said the 'band had fused together an original sound consisting of different influences and elements such as groove, rock, pop, old and new-style metal with songwriting strong on issues and not lyrics for lyrics sake'.
'We are a band with focus and have a goal of not only to take and receive but to give and support,' he said.
Kim said the band had put a lot of time into rehearsing and had already recorded a demo.
'We are basically trying to be a professional unit,' he said.
