BEST described as a 'new age swing/rhythm and blues band with attitude' THE SHUFFLE KINGS are performing at Club Phoenix on Sunday (June 27).
While the band initially played mainly cover material from the 40s, 50s and 60s, it has diversified to include more of its own original music.
But even when playing covers, the band is said to have maintained a policy of great creativity in its interpretation of songs.
Its versatility is reflected in the large variety of instruments its members play, focusing around the double bass/saxophones, flute, recorder, harmonica, piano, trumpet, Hammond-style organ, accordion, drums and percussion.
