SHANK'D is entering a new realm of rock following the departure of vocalist CHEREE BRADSHAW. Now a three-piece, the band members have finally settled into their skins and are returning to the live circuit, psyched after an impromptu gig at Seal Rocks on New Year's Eve.
PIL, DAMO and DICE decided to set up and knock out a few tunes on New Year's eve at Seals and ended up playing before a raging mosh-pit of more than 200 campers.
The gig at Seals reaffirmed their preference as a three-piece and won the admiration of certain celebs including DAVE FAULKNER of HOODOO GURUS fame who watched the gig with admiration.
The all-original band have written a host of new power-pop songs with a bit of punk stirred in, and are planning to head into BILLY THORPE'S recording studio on the Central Coast in coming months.
Shank'd will perform with BIAS and CRAWL this Friday, January 29 at the Family Hotel and SJ'S Hotel on February 3.
