Kaboose Set to Smash

Who: Kaboose
Where: SJ's on Beaumont
When: Wednesday January 20, 1999

NEWCASTLE guitar band KABOOSE will join the pop/rock group PLASTIC SMASH at THE HOTHOUSE at SJ'S HOTEL tonight.

Plastic Smash's progressive brand of pop and rock music has won praise for its vibrancy and originality.

With well-crafted songs bringing an innovative sound to their live shows, the band members' tight and energetic performances complete the package.

Their recently released seven-track self-titled CD, which has received airplay on TRIPLE J and regional radio stations, was admired by music magazines for its catchy riffs, lyrical guitar intonations and minimalistic style.

The winners of the 1997 BRISBANE ROCK AWARDS have more than 70 original compositions.

The four-piece have supported a host of leading acts ranging from LEONARDO'S BRIDE, KATE CEBERANO, THE BLACK-EYED SUSANS to MOLER, CUSTARD and THE SCREAMING JETS. Kaboose, with their atomic all-star line-up of Adam, Leeroy, Nicholas, Tony and Trent, will join Plastic Smash at The Hothouse for an evening of all-original rock music mayhem.
