Welsh Band's Rare Bits

Who: Super Furry Animals, Custard
Where: University - Bar on the Hill
When: Thursday February 25, 1999

WELSH group SUPER FURRY ANIMALS has made its Australian radio debut with a single unlikely to be played anywhere but on the youth broadcaster TRIPLE J. The single, THE MAN DON'T GIVE A F***, from the long player OUT SPACED, is tailor-made to avoid commercial radio play, but the Welsh-speaking SUPER FURRY ANIMALS don't mind.

Playing at the University of Newcastle next Thursday, February 25, with CUSTARD, the group has compiled an album of 'selected b-sides and rarities' to get Australian listeners up to speed with their work since 1994.

The sound ranges from ambient techno to full-on, high energy groove with a wicked bottom end.
