Sixties Mania Relived

Who: Sixties Mania
Where: Club Phoenix
When: Saturday February 20, 1999

A 'ROCKUMENTARY' is how promoters have described SIXTIES MANIA, playing this Saturday night at Club Phoenix.

Using live music, costumes, special effects and lighting, the concept show recreates the music of the 1960s, its look and feel.

The first section focuses on the 'mop top' groups, such as THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, EASYBEATS, THE KINKS and ROY ORBISON. After a quick costume change the band returns to the stage for a 'magical mystery tour' set visiting the Vietnam and Woodstock periods, performing the music of THE DOORS, CREEDENCE and THE ROLLING STONES. SIXTIES MANIA also uses a slide projector to show historic events, people and headlines on a screen behind, placing the musical in a historical context. TE
