AS SANTA CLAUS slips down your chimney on Friday night, SAXANOVA will be slipping into something a little more comfortable at the Cambridge Hotel.

Drummer DANE BALDWIN and saxophonist/vocalist CRAIG LEMBKE, along with keyboard player and vocalist LEITH DIXON, perform a combination of styles from jazz standards to popular rock and soul tunes.

The conservatorium-trained musoes have supported the likes of KATE CEBERANO and played at classy joints like the Manly Radisson and Crowne Plaza at Terrigal.

From jazz festivals to shows aboard THE FAIRSTAR, Saxanova's professionalism and adaptability has made them regulars at classy shindigs. The trio expands when needed to become a five-, six- or seven-piece act to provide that big band feel, complete with guitar, trumpet, bass and female vocals. TE
