TIBETAN flute player TENZING TSEWANG will captivate and bewitch listeners at the NEWCASTLE RIGPA CENTRE, in Cooks Hill, this Saturday night.
The music of Tsewang is described as 'a journey far into the Himalayas and deep into the heart'.
The concert at the Rigpa yoga centre at 10 Swan St, Cooks Hill, will also be a fundraiser for AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL AUSTRALIA, featuring slides and talks about Tibet.
Entry is $10 and $8 concession and the concert begins at 7.30pm.
On Sunday Tsewang will perform at the Shortland Wetlands Centre with his bamboo flute improvisations, ancient Tibetan chanting and joyful folk songs.
There Tsewang will be joined by Newcastle acappella group THE HAMILTONES from 11am.
Entry is $5, plus $2 admission to the wetlands, with proceeds to the Shortland Wetlands Centre. TE
