Bondi Trio To Headline A 35-band Marathon

BONDI trio Cog return to Newcastle this weekend to perform at Broadmeadow PCYC's Strike Back 2 music festival.

The band will be joined by the likes of Something With Numbers , In The Grey , Angela's Dish , Braxton , Jinn , Sleight of Hand , Rubix Cuba and The Now at the 35-band event on Saturday.

Cog is touring nationally to promote their third single Resonate from their debut LP The New Normal .

The album was produced by Sylvia Massy, who has worked with Tool , REM , System Of A Down and the Red Hot Chili Peppers .

It has already sold more than 25,000 units independently Australia-wide.

Cog claimed two positions in Triple J's Hottest 100 with its first two singles My Enemy and Run .

They were also nominated for the J Awards Album Of the Year.

Formed in 2000, Cog is brothers Flynn (vocals/guitar) and Luke Gower (bass) and drummer Lucius Borich .

The Strike Back 2 festival kicks off at 1pm on Saturday and is expected to continue until 11pm.
