FOR almost eight years Jigzag's Liz Frencham, Caroline Trengove and Greg Bryce have been doing things their own way.
Following the path of independent music- making has allowed Sydney-based Jigzag to present itself as a true success story, having appeared at almost every major folk festival in Australia.
In 2002 the trio marked its first milestone in international touring when it was invited to perform at the Femme Funk Festival in New Caledonia.
Four years later and Jigzag is now a seasoned international touring band, having played festivals in the UK, Denmark and Canada.
Jigzag has been touring heavily this month and will wrap things up with a show in Newcastle at Tighes Hill Social Club tomorrow night.
Their latest album, Jigzag Live, recorded both in front of intimate studio audiences and large festival crowds, shows a new spontaneity in their instrumentals along with their trademark three- part harmonies.
Tomorrow night's show starts at 8pm and tickets will be available at the door.
