THERE will be a distinctly home-grown flavour when Newcastle band The Good perform on the eve of Australia Day next week.
The Good, who have returned home from a stint in the UK, will perform with the addition of didgeridoo to their sound at The Delany on Wednesday, January 25.
Supporting The Good's Heather Barnes (bass/vocals) and Gareth Hudson (guitar/vocals) will be Byron Bay singer Nathan Kaye who also plays didgeridoo and guitar.
Barnes and Hudson met Kaye while performing in the UK at the Blakey Ridge Music Festival and agreed to stay in contact and hook up once back in Australia .
``Gareth also plays didgeridoo in our stuff now as well, so with the didge in the two acts we hope to create a nice Aussie vibe to the night,'' Barnes said.
The Good's former drummer Dean Gearing will open the show from 8.30pm with a set of his originals.
Entry is free.
