EARLY last month The Ride-Ons stormed the Wickham Park Hotel with their pounding rock.
The Sydney band was such a hit with punters that it has been invited to undertake a monthly residency at the pub.
It begins when The Ride-Ons return on Saturday night and then come back to play the last Saturday of every month in June.
The band's growing popularity adds to a successful rise for the Sydney band formed in early 2004 with Ben Nightingale (guitar/vocals), Murray Shepherd (drums/vocals) and Matty Stokes (vocals).
Collectively the trio boasts an impressive resume that includes past stints in bands such as The Sleepy Jackson, The Clouds, The Monarchs, Harpoon, The Screaming Tribesmen, The Chevrons and Plutonium Biscuit. The band's aptly titled self-financed debut is The First Cut. Supporting The Ride-Ons on Saturday night is Mudfly. Entry is free.
