SINCE the release of his self-titled debut in July, 1998, Adam Brand has quickly become one of Australia's favourite country music artists.
He has received one platinum and three gold albums, eight Golden Guitar awards and three MO awards.
Country music fans from the region will be pleased to hear that Brand is heading to Toronto District Workers Club on December 11.
Brand has taken his show out on the road to tie in with the release of his first Christmas- themed album, Adam Brand And Friends - Christmas In Australia. Designed as a fun album for the whole family with a distinctly Australian feel, Brand said it celebrated Christmas down under with songs about ``not getting enough presents, eating too much, going to the beach and Santa arriving on a surfboard''.
The album includes seven songs from Brand as well as tunes by Dianna Corcoran, Jim Haynes and Brendon Walmsley. Another act featured on the record is The Sunny Cowgirls. The girls will support Brand at his concert next month.
