Kasey Seizes The Day

KASEY Chambers will bring her brand of country/pop to the stage when she headlines the first of five 'A Day On The Green' summer concerts. She will perform at Bimbadgen Estate this weekend, with supports The Beautiful Girls, Lior and Bertie Blackman . It will be the ninth time the national concert has been held at Bimbadgen Estate with the event firmly established as one of the most popular on the Hunter Region calender. Since the events inception in Victoria in January 2001, more than 250,000 people have attended the ifA Day On The Green concerts. They have attracted artists including Elvis Costello, Bryan Adams, Pete Murray, Norah Jones and Jamie Cullum . Promoter Michael Newton said coming into its fifth year, the event had come a long way from their first summer of two shows. ``It's been incredibly satisfying to see music lovers embrace the concept,'' he said. ``We look forward to another summer of great music, food and wine in the best wineries.''
