MARK Evans sure would have some memorable stories to tell.
In the early days of his career, Evans rubbed shoulders with some of the most notorious names in the rock'n'roll industry.
He was the original bass player from the classic AC/ DC line-up during the Bon Scott era that yielded the landmark albums High Voltage, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, TNT and Let There Be Rock. Evans was based in London with AC/DC, recording and touring worldwide with acts such as Kiss, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Motley Crue. From there he stripped things back by teaming with Dave Tice to form The Headhunters. The pair continue to perform together these days under the name Tice and Evans. Both seasoned musicians, they have come together to form a hard-edged acoustic duo featuring Tice's powerful vocals and blues harp.
Catch the two-piece playing a range of classics by artists such as Wilson Pickett, John Fogerty and Chuck Berry at the Premier Hotel at Broadmeadow on Sunday, May 15.
