CROONERS have made quite a comeback in recent years with artists like Canada's Michael Buble reviving the genre and topping the charts in the process.
Another act taking swing classics to the stage is Newcastle's own Ultra Swing Lounge. Comprising the talent of vocalists Daniel Stoddart, David Andrews and Steve Hudson, Ultra Swing Lounge returns to the stage following a successful run of dates last year.
The Ultra Swing Lounge recently completed tours of Canberra and Wollongong and will present Novocastrians with a two-hour spectacular covering the greatest swing music and songs including Lady Is A Tramp, Fly Me To The Moon, Mr Bojangles and I Get A Kick Out Of You. Also featuring is the Ultra Swing Big Band and eight dancers including tap-dancer Tristan Fletcher. Catch the Ultra Swing Lounge at Civic Theatre Newcastle tonight, with performances also scheduled on Thursday and Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 2pm and 8pm.
