Who: Head of State, Dirty Pink Jeans
Where: Bat and Ball Hotel
When: Friday June 10, 2005

WITH Newcastle having proved itself a bit of a hub for top original bands, it is no surprise Sydneysiders have started to catch on.

Two of Newcastle's best emerging bands, Dirty Pink Jeans and Head of State, are making the trip down the freeway for a gig at the Bat and Ball Hotel in Surry Hills on Friday, June 10. Both bands have already had some encouraging feedback following previous dates in Sydney and they want all the support they can get.

``We wanna make it a huge night,'' Head of State bass player Ty Brennock said.

``Both bands are getting more recognition in Sydney now and some home support would be greatly appreciated.'' A coach has been organised which will depart from Charlestown and take punters to the show before returning later in the evening.

Tickets are $25 and include return travel and entry to the show.
